Over The Hills And Far Away

A somewhat eclectic landscape of folk, americana and country with a few rocky outcrops along the way... Four songs by vocalist Judy Dunlop from her excellent Sway With Me LP with Ashley Hutchings from 2009, a celebration of the majesty and stoic beauty of trees that brings environmental degradation into focus. Dunlop has a rich, strong voice remenicent of Sandy Denny at her best. Also featuring songs from the incredible Iris Dement and Gillian Welch alongside David Rawlings. West country folk supergroup Show Of Hands are strongly represented while Neil Young, Free, Jethro Tull, Led Zeppelin and Elvis Costello blend in some slightly different vibes...
